Terms of Service
Last updated: May 2026
1. Introduction and acceptance
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the PageGlass service operated by FourFourFive Limited, a company registered in Scotland, with its registered office at FourFourFive Ltd, 4 Hughes Close, Edinburgh, EH7 4FU ("we", "us", "our").
By creating an account or using the PageGlass service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you are entering into these Terms on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use the service.
2. Service description
PageGlass is a dynamic rendering service that makes JavaScript web applications visible to search engines, AI crawlers, and social media link previews. The service works by intercepting requests from bots and crawlers at the DNS level, serving them a pre-rendered HTML version of your pages. Setup requires a single DNS change - no code modifications are needed on your website.
The service operates as a reverse proxy sitting in front of your origin server. When a search engine or AI crawler visits your site, PageGlass serves a cached, fully-rendered HTML snapshot. Human visitors are served directly from your origin server with no performance impact.
3. Definitions
- "Site" means a distinct registered domain with its own DNS or CNAME configuration pointing to the PageGlass service. Subdomains, staging environments, and localhost do not count as separate sites.
- "Pages" means distinct URL paths within a site that are rendered and cached by the service.
- "Account" means your PageGlass user account, including any organisation you create or are invited to join.
- "Organisation" means a team workspace where multiple users share a single subscription under one billing owner.
4. Account registration and security
To use PageGlass, you must create an account and provide accurate, complete information. You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials, including your password and any multi-factor authentication methods.
You must be at least 18 years old, or have the legal authority to enter into a binding agreement on behalf of your organisation, to use this service. You may not create multiple accounts for the same individual. You must notify us promptly if you become aware of any unauthorised access to your account.
5. Free trial
We offer a 7-day free trial with full access to all features. No payment information is required to start a trial. The trial is per account, not per site.
When your trial expires, access to the service ends immediately. Your sites will stop receiving pre-rendered pages, but your origin website will continue to function normally - PageGlass simply stops intercepting crawler requests. To continue using the service, you must subscribe to a paid plan.
We reserve the right to modify the trial duration or availability at any time.
6. Plans and pricing
PageGlass offers the following subscription plans:
- Solo - $29 per month per site. Includes up to 500 pages per site and all features.
- Agency - $99 per month. Includes 5 sites with unlimited pages per site and all features. Additional sites can be added for $9.99 per month each.
- Custom - For customers with 20 or more sites, contact us for volume pricing.
All plans include every feature - there is no feature gating between tiers. The only differences between plans are the number of sites and page limits.
There are no overage charges. Your bill is the plan price and nothing more. You will never receive a surprise charge for exceeding usage limits.
We reserve the right to change our pricing with at least 30 days' written notice. Price changes will apply from your next billing cycle after the notice period. If you do not agree with a price change, you may cancel your subscription before the new price takes effect.
7. Billing and payment
Payments are processed securely by Stripe. By subscribing to a paid plan, you authorise us to charge your payment method on a recurring monthly basis. All prices are quoted in US dollars (USD).
You are responsible for any applicable taxes, duties, or levies imposed by your jurisdiction. If a payment fails, we will notify you and may restrict access to the service until the payment issue is resolved.
8. Cancellation and termination
You may cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period - you retain full access to the service until then. You may reactivate your subscription at any point before the billing period ends.
After your paid subscription ends, your sites enter a 7-day grace period. During this time, existing cached pages continue to be served to crawlers, but no new pages are rendered. This gives your SEO a soft landing rather than an abrupt cut-off.
After the grace period expires, PageGlass stops intercepting requests entirely. All traffic passes directly to your origin server. Your website continues to function normally - it simply reverts to its pre-PageGlass state. If you have not removed your DNS configuration, no harm is done.
We may suspend or terminate your account if you breach these Terms, with reasonable notice where practicable. In cases of serious breach (such as using the service for illegal purposes), we may suspend access immediately.
9. Refund policy
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on all paid plans. If you are not satisfied with PageGlass for any reason within 30 days of your first paid charge, contact us at ben@445innovation.com and we will refund your payment in full - no questions asked.
After the 30-day window, we do not offer refunds for partial billing periods. When you cancel, you retain full access to the service until the end of your current paid period.
If you experience a material service failure that prevents you from usingPageGlass as intended, contact us at ben@445innovation.com. We will consider a pro-rata credit at our discretion, in addition to the 30-day guarantee above.
10. Fair use and acceptable use
The service must be used for its intended purpose: making legitimate websites visible to search engines and AI crawlers. You agree not to use PageGlass to:
- Distribute malware, phishing content, or any material that violates applicable laws.
- Engage in SEO cloaking - that is, deliberately serving different content to crawlers than what human visitors see, for the purpose of manipulating search rankings.
- Generate artificial or automated traffic to inflate usage metrics.
- Interfere with or disrupt the service or its infrastructure.
If a site creates genuine infrastructure strain (for example, thousands of pages with extremely high crawl volume), we will contact you to discuss options rather than applying automatic restrictions or penalties.
11. Customer data and content
You retain full ownership of your website content. PageGlass caches rendered HTML snapshots of your pages temporarily for the purpose of serving them to crawlers. These cached copies are not permanent and are regularly refreshed and cleaned up.
You are solely responsible for ensuring that the content on your websites complies with all applicable laws and does not infringe the rights of any third party. We do not review, moderate, or endorse customer content.
12. Intellectual property
The PageGlass service, including its software, branding, and documentation, is the intellectual property of FourFourFive Limited. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our intellectual property except the limited right to use the service as described herein.
By using the service, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to access, render, and cache your website content solely for the purpose of providing thePageGlass service to you. This licence terminates when you stop using the service.
13. Service availability
We aim to provide a highly available service but do not guarantee 100% uptime. Planned maintenance will be communicated in advance where possible.
PageGlass is designed to degrade gracefully. If the service is temporarily unavailable, requests pass directly through to your origin server. Your website continues to function normally for all visitors - the only effect is that crawlers receive your JavaScript-rendered page rather than a pre-rendered snapshot until service is restored.
14. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied.
We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, business opportunities, or goodwill, arising out of or in connection with your use of the service.
Our total aggregate liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or the service shall not exceed the total fees you have paid to us in the 12 months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot be excluded or limited under the laws of Scotland.
15. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless FourFourFive Limited and its officers, directors, and employees from any claims, damages, losses, or expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of your use of the service, your website content, or your breach of these Terms.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide at least 30 days' notice via email or an in-app notification. Your continued use of the service after the notice period constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
If you do not agree with the changes, you may cancel your subscription before the changes take effect.
17. Governing law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Scotland. Any disputes arising under or in connection with these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Scottish courts.
